Hello Beauties

Just wanted to do a quick blog on my recent beauty finds —

I was recently introduced to Glossyboxa beautiful box full of beauty treats. Glossybox is a beauty subscription box with different beauty products chosen from different brands. So far I have recieved two of their boxes and their 2018 Advent calendar which has a beautiful packaging with lots of cool beauty products.

I find the GlossyBox concept very fun and interesting, especially for any of you who are big fans of beauty products and want to try different brands. I also think it would be a great gift for this holiday season.

As you all may know already I have sensitive skin so I’m not able to use just any product on my face and body therefore most of the products included in these boxes might not work out for my skin but I still find these beatiful boxes a great gift for friends and family.

You can check out their Advent Calendar and Holiday shop below – If you like what you see, make sure to check out their subscription plans as well. Don’t forget to send me a message if you have any questions regarding the products in their Advent Calendar. #sponsored #Glossybox

Everyday Beauty Essentials

I’ve always been taught that taking care of my skin should be a vital part of my morning and evening routines. We spend so much time choosing and styling clothes, as well as styling hair, but sometimes we forget to look after our own skin, which is the very foundation of every beautiful outfit.

It’s difficult to allow make-up to look flawless and do it’s designed job without ensuring that our skin in is tip top condition below the surface. I thought I’d put together a list of my favourite skin care products that I currently use to ensure I feel great about my skin before I even start my make-up.

As someone with sensitive skin, I’ve struggled to find the right products to suit. I certainly invest in seeing a dermatologist, as I think this is the best way to really get the right information about what your skin needs from you. I have found that using natural and all organic products works best for me as chemical-based products cause me irritation, redness and often dry out my skin. Not the best backdrop for a flawless complexion, right? So, here are my favourite products that seem to work best for me.

I have tried so many moisturisers from La Mer and Lancome to Dermalogica and had some sort of bad reaction to all of them. Finally, I was recommended Cerave PM, which is inexpensive and can be bought from places like CVS and Rite Aid. It’s super-light and, after 3 months of use, it has completely transformed my skin.

I like to use a product under my eyes that really moisturises and hydrates, which in turn helps with the appearance of small wrinkles. For this, I use Caudalie Resveratol eye lifting balm, which I really love. It’s very light and effective for dark circles and under eye bags as well.

Serums & Mists

Vitamin C Serum is a product I would really recommend that women start using. I use SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, which is making my pores look smaller and my skin look healthier and more glowing. I love it so much I have even bought it for my mom, grandma and sister-in-law! I also use the Eminence Stone Crop mist to keep my skin hydrated, especially when I’m travelling.

Face Mask

There are hundreds of face masks out on the market and I think there are some fab ones, depending on your skin type. However, I have to say, I actually like making my own – DIY style! And this one works great for me. I blend Meyenberg goat dairy powdered milk with rose water and apply to my face, letting it gently dry. I then remove with a warm, damp cloth and I’ve really loved the results!

I know it’s not strictly skincare, but hair health is super important too! My hair tends to become dry, especially towards the ends, which isn’t exactly fair as I don’t dye it or often use heat styling tools. Because of this, I was recommended to use the all-natural products from Rene Furterer, which I have now used for a couple of months and have seen a great difference. I use the shampoo and conditioner, alongside regular applications of the hair mask and it strengthens and conditions my hair without weighing it down, which I love.

My Favorite Places To Shop Online For Home Interiors

I actually love shopping (or just browsing) for home interior items almost as much as I love shopping for fashion. Thanks to Pinterest, there is an amazing plethora of interiors inspirations out there now to get all of our home design juices flowing.

In a few months, I’ll be making the big move over country to New York, and I literally cannot wait. Bright lights and big city is exciting enough, but it also means I will have a brand-new pad to design and decorate. This, of course, means that lately I have been upping my game when it comes to searching for new things to adorn my new NY home.

This is the sort of style that I love…

Because there are so many amazing places to shop now, I thought I’d share with you a couple of my favourites. These places are all available to shop online and I just love their sense of interior style and feel like it works with how I’d love my new place to look.

Now, it’s no big secret, this I know. However, I have to say I still love Anthropologie and its chic and simple interior style. I’ve definitely picked a few great bits up from here recently and got my eye on a few more pieces for my new place. I’d say the style is cute and feminine (I’m obsessed with the floral dinnerware), but they have some really on-trend pieces too, like this multi-hang frame setin copper and this amazing hoop mirror, which I can so see in my new hallway.

Zara Home

As soon as I hop onto the Zara Home website I get taken aback by the super-cute items at really reasonable prices. The Zara style is light, airy and polished, so I love them for soft-furnishings and bedding. They also always have unusual shaped side tables for the living and bedroom, which I love having several of. They’re on-trend with items in coppers and marble effect material and I love shapes like this circular nesting tablewith a gold accent.

Ok, so Oomph takes it up in terms of pricing. However, just click through the lighting pages and you’ll know why I’ve become obsessed! The lighting is so unusual but it’s designed to be a take on classic shapes, which I love. For example, this lantern lighting fixtureis the perfect blend of traditional and edgy modern. Plus, lighting is always worth investing in!

Ollie Box

This is such a cute one. Not too expensive, but not Ikea, I love Ollie box for add-on ideas to really start to make a house a home. I’m into plants everywhere in my house, so I love this hanging planter, which would bring a little outside, inside when I land in NY. An amazing thing they also do is removable wallpaper. They do loads of different colours and patterns and it’s perfect if you’re renting or simply change your mind a lot. Check them out!

I hope I’ve managed to inspire you with a few new places to do your home interior shopping! Whether you’re looking at a new home, like me, or fancy updating your current abode, it’s always fun to redesign a new space and make it your own!

Summer Vacation Wardrobe – The Essentials

I love prepping for summer vacation. Summer fashion is so freeing and feminine and I love picking out new bits to take away with me, as well as pulling together new outfits from what I already have.

As I’ve been running through my vacation wardrobe this year, there are definitely some staples that are a must-have for a holiday. No matter what your style, I think these summer vacation essentials will apply to everyone. They are, for sure, coming away with me!

The Maxi Dress

Everyone loves a good maxi dress, no? My favourite thing about maxi dresses is the ability to style them in so many ways. You can throw one over a bikini with flip flops to hit the beach, you can wear the same one with heels and layered jewellery to dinner and you can even add ankle boots and a leather jacket back at home. So versatile.

The Kimono

I’ve recently found a love for beautiful kimonos. Not only can you wear it as a chic cover-up around the pool with a one-piece swimsuit, but you can wear one over an LBD to add some detail to your look and make it slightly dressier. I really love things that you can wear in multiple ways.

The Floral Skirt

Whether it’s a mini with ruffles or a floaty midi with a split, the floral skirt will forever be one of my favourite vacation staples. I love to wear floral prints with white in the summer so I’d pair them with anything from a cute crop top to a basic oversized tee or even a white bodysuit. This vibe works really well with mules, either heeled or flat!

The Raffia or Straw Bag

This is definitely the bag of the season this year and I just love it for summer. A straw bag instantly reminds us of the beach but there are now some really cute mini straw bags that can double as an evening bag on vacay.

The Wedges

The wedge is a classic holiday shoe. It’s comfortable when you’re on the move, but the right style can look ultra-chic as well. I love a lace up wedge that’s not too high. Paired with a midi skirt or dress or even high-waisted shorts, it’s one of my favourite summer looks.

The Slides

Slides have been huge again this year in terms of being on-trend, but there are just so many to choose from! You can go sporty and simple or ornate and luxury, which I just love. Plus, they go with everything and are insanely comfortable, perfect for holiday.

The Wrap Dress

Thanks to Diane Von Furstenberg the wrap dress is eternally a womenswear classic. It’s also perfect for vacation. Wrap dresses are definitely one of those pieces that you can wear through the day and then, with just a change of shoes, it’s instantly an evening look. So handy, especially if you’re packing light for a shorter trip.

I’m not so great at packing light, so there are quite a few more things that could easily have made it to my vacation essentials list, but these items are sitting at the top. I couldn’t go away without my summer staples, what are yours?

How To Style A Crop Top

I love wearing crop tops during summer, they are just perfect to pair with high waisted bottoms and also can be dressed down/up easily.

Here are my 5 favorite ways for styling a crop top-

  1. Wide Leg Pants– Crop tops look great with high waisted pants, especially if they are wide leg. Fitted crop tops give your upper body some definition while complementing the wide leg pants.
  2. Flowy summer skirts–  For a cool boheimian look I would pair a crop top with a flowy summer skirt with a cute pair of sandals and a straw bag.
  3. Wearing a blazer over it-  Sometimes you can’t just wear a crop top by itself, for example if you are attending a more formal event, I would recommend wearing a blazer over it with high waisted trousers for a chic yet sassy look.
  4. High Waisted Shorts- I love wearing my crop tops with high waisted everything :)) They just look so much better and put together. High Waisted shorts would look very cute with crop tops, you can still wear blazer over your crop top and high waisted shorts if you want to dress it up a bit.
  5. Mom Jeans- If you are like me and live in your Mom jeans then you know the best way to style them is with a crop top and cool lenin dress shirt over it that you can tie in the front.

Hope my tips were helpful and I would love to know how you style your crop tops so don’t forget to comment below ❤

5 Tips on choosing the right shoes for your outfit and body type

Choosing the right shoes for your clothing is so necessary, you ask why? Because, believe it or not it makes such a big difference in your overall look. For example have you noticed sometimes you look much better not wearing shoes with an outfit? That’s because you are not trying it on with the right shoes. It happens to me a lot when I’m shopping for dresses, so I usually avoid trying on the sample shoes at the boutiques and instead I bring it home and try it on with my own shoe selection.

With having so many different shoe styles to choose from, it is necessary to know what each style stands for and how to select the right shoes for your outfit. You also have to keep in mind that just like clothes, all shoe styles are not made for every bodytype. Which means you have to consider your height, size and body shape when choosing your shoes. So Here are 5 tips on choosing the right shoes for your outfit and body type.

  • If you have short legs avoid wearing shoes with ankle straps – Straps make the legs look short
  • Wear stiletto heels when you want to elongate your legs, for example when you are wearing skinny jeans or pencil skirts – Stilettos give your legs more length and makes them look slender.
  • Do not wear extremly high heels when dressing for a professional event- If you are going for a conservative look, you want to avoid wearing extermly high heels.
  • If you have short legs, avoid wearing heels that are more than four inches tall- They make your calf muscle flex more which leaves your leg looking less slender.
  • Wear oval shaped or square toes heels if you have large feet. Avoid pointy heels , they may end up making your feet look even larger.

Hope these tips were helpful. I have also included links to a few of my current favorite heels, make sure the check them out.

Super Trendy Tees Made in France

I recently discovered this amazing Parisian designer who also happens to be an amazing florist.

Juliette is the designer behind Mignonne Paris, super trendy and cute tee shirts made in France.

I personally fell in love with the idea behind this brand, which is Juliet’s love for flowers and women, she believes they are gorgeous in every shape and color. As she explained to me, this is how Mignonne started : ” In english, mignonne means cute. The idea of the first design came up after one of my friends (she is a florist, I am a florist, and we are kind of obsessed with flowers !) asked me : « have you ever made love with a flower? » ! Ahah At first I didn’t understand the question, and then it made me laugh and inspired me to draw mignonne’s illustrations.” Now that’s what I call unique.

Juliet’s first collection of tee shirts are available for purchase on Mignonne Paris Instagram and their online shop will be launching soon.

I’m in love with my Mignonne Paris t-shirts and I recommend them to anyone who likes to make a statement yet keep it unique.

Here’s their Instagram page You can place your orders by sending them a direct message. Always keep it #unique #uniqueoverpopular ❤

How I Really Feel About Bodycon/Short Dresses

All I want to wear these days are flowy dresses and my hermes flats. What’s your go to summer outfit?

As I’m getting older I have noticed I’m having a hard time wearing tight fitted/short dresses, I just no longer find them classy and chic, at least on myself. I tend to go for more of a flowy mid length style for dresses and skirts not only they are more comfortable but they also have a classy/cool vibe to them.

I remember when I was in my early 20’s all I wanted to wear was bodycon dresses and cute little shorts and believe me I have tried to wear all of those again now, but nope, just can’t do it :))

So here’s a gorgeous flowy dress I purchased on my trip to Amsterdam from a local desinger called Maria Tailor, I learned that she recently opened her second store. They have some amazing dresses and some of them are on sale right now so head over to their online shop and make sure to check them out.
